A street in the older part of the town centre, Church Street connects the High Street to St Mary's Church, the parish church of Littlehampton. The street retains some of the character of the pre-resort town, with older buildings, a more intimate scale and the ecclesiastical presence of the church providing a contrast to the commercial character of the High Street. The street is quiet by comparison with the main shopping area, and the churchyard provides a green pocket within the urban fabric.
