Wild, undeveloped stretch of coastline west of the River Arun, managed by the National Trust. Shingle and sand beach backed by ecologically valuable dunes. No lifeguards. Car park at Atherington with charges (free for NT members). Popular with walkers, birdwatchers and dog owners seeking a quieter coastal experience.
