North Littlehampton

Growth area with new housing developments and proximity to the Arun valley

The northern fringe of the town, where new housing developments are extending Littlehampton towards the Arun valley and the road to Arundel. North Littlehampton is a growth area, with strategic housing allocations in the Arun Local Plan delivering new homes along with the roads, green spaces and community infrastructure that a significant expansion requires. The area transitions from established residential streets to new development sites and then to the farmland and water meadows of the Arun flood plain. The A284 road to Arundel passes through the area, and the river path towards Arundel starts from the northern edge of the town. The development of North Littlehampton is changing the shape of the town and will increase its population significantly over the coming years.
