Sandy beach resort area with promenade, beach huts and the iconic East Beach Cafe

The resort face of Littlehampton, stretching from the harbour mouth eastward along the promenade towards Rustington. East Beach is the town's principal sandy beach, backed by colourful beach huts and the award-winning East Beach Cafe designed by Thomas Heatherwick. The seafront promenade provides a level walking and cycling route, with benches, access ramps and views across the English Channel. The area is busy during the summer with families, swimmers and sunbathers, and lifeguards patrol the main bathing area from late May to September. Parking is available at the East Beach car park, though spaces fill quickly on hot days. The area transitions into Rustington at the eastern end, where the promenade continues.
